History of the Association
When the religious order of the Daughters of Wisdom founded the hospital in 1953, they brought a spirit of human warmth and compassion that endures to this day. These core values are at the very heart of Montfort’s humanist philosophy and they are put into practice each and every day.
The Auxiliaries/Volunteers Association is the perfect vehicle to convey the values of human dignity, respect and commitment that Montfort holds dear. Montfort recognizes that voluntarism is the most fundamental expression of philanthropy and good citizenship in our society, and that it is essential to the delivery of a wide range of high-quality health care and services.
