Diagnostic Imaging
Diagnostic Imaging at Montfort encompasses radiology, ultrasound, mammography, densitometry, tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This Division has entered a new era by acquiring state-of-the-art technology and implementing the most advanced practices in the field.
Though diagnostic imaging technologists use high-performance equipment, they never lose sight of Montfort’s long-standing tradition as a compassionate provider of patient-centred care. They are currently experiencing major change as the majority of diagnostic tests will soon be performed in a virtual environment. These tests will allow technologists to view the inside of the human body in a matter of minutes and without the patient feeling any pain whatsoever.
These new, computerized systems enhance the quality of care and services while decreasing the wait time for test results. From an ecological standpoint, they also eliminate the need for paper and film.
It is worthy of note that Montfort will soon be providing nuclear medicine services to complement its current array of diagnostic services.
