Hospitalization expenses
Your provincial health card and your personal insurance are your passports for hospitalization. We strongly urge you to know exactly what your personal insurance policies cover in order to avoid any misunderstanding. A daily fee is applicable to patients who are awaiting placement in a chronic or long-term care facility. A placement officer or a social worker is available to meet with you and/or your family to help guide you.
Costs incurred by a patient that are not covered by insurance or a provincial plan are billed to the patient.
