Diagnostic Imaging at Montfort encompasses radiology, ultrasound, mammography, Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP), bone mineral densitometry (BMD), computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and nuclear medicine. Our department has entered a new era by acquiring digital, meaning our images are acquired and stored electronically, and can be viewed on many computers throughout the hospital.
Though diagnostic imaging technologists use high-performance equipment, they never lose sight of Montfort’s long-standing tradition as a compassionate provider of patient-centred care.
We perform over 110 000 exams annually.
These new, computerized systems enhance the quality of care and services while decreasing the wait time for test results.
