The operating room at Hôpital Montfort offers a wide range of procedures and specialized services. Healing values are a dominant feature in the functioning of the operating room, from the time the patient arrives to his or her departure.
The interdisciplinary team includes specialized surgeons, anaesthetists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, respiratory therapists, attendants, clerks and porters who all contribute to the delivery of high-quality care and services.

Hôpital Montfort is pleased to announce that an operating room dedicated to minimally invasive laparoscopic surgeries will open in the summer of 2008. This new technology allows Montfort to provide high quality care and ensures that patients recover more rapidly.
The operating room at Montfort also provides training opportunities to its future healthcare professionals in clinical care, respiratory therapy and medicine.
Out-Patient Treatment Unit
Montfort offers a wide range of outpatient services relating to gastroenterology, urology, ophthalmology and pneumology. In the summer of 2008, these services will be offered in an entirely new unit dedicated to these specialties.
Sterilization, Preparation and Distribution Department
The operating room works closely with the hospital’s Sterilization, Preparation and Distribution Department (SPD) to deliver high quality services focused on patient safety.
The SPD Department at Montfort is one of the most technologically advanced in the country. It plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and sterility of the medical instruments used daily throughout the hospital, including the operating room.
